Simplicity Quilt Pattern Release

The Simplicity pattern is definitely the least complicated and most beginner friendly one I've ever written, and I almost didn't even release it. But sometimes the best things are those that are simple, sweet, and straightforward. Maybe I'm just being silly and sentimental, but having a new baby in the house is a perfect reminder of this. This quilt pattern will always remind me of the slow, sleepy, wonder filled days of newborn life.

All proceeds for the Simplicity pattern release will go directly to @blackmamasmatter. This organization is an incredibly important one, and I highly encourage everyone to learn more about why they exist and the work they do!

My throw sized Simplicity sample was made using a collection of Tilda solid and chambray fabrics, with a Kona Natural background.

After I made the throw version, I happened upon a gorgeous fat quarter bundle by Great Heron Thread Co that clearly needed to be made into a Simplicity quilt for my own baby! I love the subtle texture in the various fabrics, and the cheerful palette.

Since our daughter’s birth, we’ve been using this quilt on a daily basis, and it never fails to make me smile when I look at it (and her, but that’s a given )!
